MSP (Carecard)
Patients eligible for MSP Coverage  Premium Assistance will have 10 treatments per calendar year partially  covered under their BC CareCard. This includes any combination of  treatment from a Registered Massage Therapist, Physiotherapist or other  supplementary health benefit (ie. chiropractic, acupuncture, naturopathy  and non-surgical podiatry).

Patients with MSP coverage are still  required to pay the difference in cost from the private rate (depends  on length of visit). Once the MSP coverage has been exhausted the  patient will then be expected to pay the regular private rates. Our  office can help you determine if you have MSP coverage

Private / Extended Insurance (Group Benefit Plans)
Most  workplace group insurance plans cover massage therapy treatments when  performed by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).  All practitioners are Registered Massage or and therefore will be covered by those extended  health plans.

Most extended health policies require the  patient to pay the private rate first and then send their receipt/s in  for reimbursement. Patients will be provided receipts for all visits. A  few plans are starting to offer their clients direct payment – Check  with your plan for your coverage details.

ICBC

ICBC Massage Therapy – Direct Billing Available

We accept ICBC claims!

Brent Helgren, RMT, is a member of ICBC's Recovery Network and offers direct billing for eligible massage therapy treatments.

If you've been injured in a motor vehicle accident, ICBC provides coverage for up to 12 pre-approved massage therapy sessions within the first 12 weeks following your accident, regardless of fault. No physician referral is required.

Treatment Fees & Coverage

• Clinic Fee: $126 (GST included)

Standard Massage Therapy Treatment – 45 minutes

• Clinic Fee: $100 (GST included)
• Patient Portion: $0

Both appointment types are fully covered for eligible ICBC patients. All fees include GST.

The initial assessment counts as one of your 12 pre-approved treatments.

What You Need to Get Started

Please have your ICBC claim number and Personal Health Number (PHN) available when booking your first appointment.

Additional treatments may be available with ICBC approval if your recovery extends beyond the initial coverage period.

Worksafe (WSBC)

WorkSafeBC Massage Therapy – Direct Billing Available

We accept WorkSafeBC claims!

Brent Helgren, RMT, is accepting patients with approved WorkSafeBC claims and provides direct billing for eligible massage therapy treatments.

If you've experienced a workplace injury, WorkSafeBC may cover massage therapy to support your recovery and return to work.

Treatment Coverage

Initial Assessment & Treatment – 45 minutes

Patient Portion: $0

Subsequent Massage Therapy Treatments – 45 minutes

Patient Portion: $0

Eligible treatments are fully covered by WorkSafeBC, with no additional patient fees.

What You Need to Know

Please inform us when booking if your appointment is related to a workplace injury.

You will need:

• Your WorkSafeBC claim number
• A physician's referral
• Details of your accepted workplace injury

Important: WorkSafeBC does not cover concurrent treatments for the same injury. If you are receiving physiotherapy, chiropractic care, or other treatment for the same injury, please confirm your coverage with WorkSafeBC before booking.

Massage therapy for conditions unrelated to your accepted workplace injury is not covered by WorkSafeBC. These treatments must be booked separately and paid for by the patient.

Additional treatment beyond eight weeks from the date of injury requires WorkSafeBC approval.

RCMP
RCMP members are covered  for Massage or Physical  Therapy treatments and we will bill RCMP  directly. You will be required to fill out a RCMP treatment form at the  time of your visit, or alternately you may bring your completed form  with you.

Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), formerly DVA
Canada’s  Veterans are covered for treatment through the Department of Veterans  Affairs. Check with your DVA adjudicator regarding registered massage  therapy coverage. A medical referral is required. VAC will cover 15  one-hour sessions per calendar year at the therapist’s discretion. If  more sessions are required in one calendar year, you must request  authorization from the VAC Treatment Authorization Centre (TAC). A  physician’s referral is required
