Our Team

Lizette Tucker, RMT

Lizette has been in practice since 1999.  Originally from North Vancouver she  moved to the Trail area in 2007 and has been running a full practice.   Lizette has seen her patients cope with injuries, pain management and  more through the use of her manual techniques. She brings a strong  foundation in medical sciences and medical therapies to the practice.  She also knows firsthand how beneficial massage therapy can be – after a  car accident, it was the only form of treatment she found helpful.

She has lots of experience working alongside other Health Care  therapists and feels it is important for her patients that there is a  good communication between all practitioners working on their care.    She has worked in clinic environments including; Chiropractors, Physiotherapists and  other RMTs.   As well as working over 5 yrs in a long term care facility  in West Vancouver.  Currently she has begun working as an Instructor at Kootenay Columbia College of Interrogative Health Sciences in Nelson, BC.

Her primary concern is for patients to  improve with care, for that reason she is continually upgrading her  skills.   Her recent educational focus has been learning advanced manual  therapy techniques and Pain science.  Lizette stays current on  evidence-based /informed massage therapy and manual therapy practices.   She has had training in;

Myofascial Induction:

There are many  types of treatment styles to address myofascial restrictions.  We will  work with the styles that best suit the presenting issue of the patient.

Visceral Manipulation
1:  gentle manual therapy that assesses the structural relationships  between the viscera (organs), and their fascial or ligamentous  attachments to the various systems in the body.

2: assists  functional and structural imbalances throughout the body including  musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, urogenital, respiratory, digestive,  eliminatory, neuroendocrine and lymphatic dysfunction

Neuro Manipulation
1:  light-touch hands-on treatment that releases local nerve restrictions  while at the same time examines the effect these local fixations have on  the rest of the body, and by accessing this relationship, changes the  more comprehensive (global) dysfunctional patterns.

2: enhances proper functioning of the nervous system - one of the communication highways throughout the body.

Joint Manipulation including Muscle Energy Induction
1:  precise gentle engagement and soft tissue manipulation that applies a  comprehensive approach to the treatment of the whole body and its  relationship to the problematic joint, and not just the localized  dysfunctional joint.

2: integrates all aspects of the joint  including the nerve, artery, bone, capsule, and ligaments, as well as  visceral and emotional connections,

Brent Helgren, RMT

Brent has been a member of the greater West Kootenay's most of his life. In his teens he suffered a sports injury and while being treated by both a RPT and a RMT an interest and passion for health occurred for him. This led to professions in personal fitness training and as a first aid attendant,  he brings this knowledge into his practice.

20 years later another sporting injury led Brent back into the care of an RMT which reignited the spark that had formed many years ago. Brent decided to enroll into RMT school soon after and completed his education from Kootenay Columbia College of Integrated Health in Nelson, in the fall of 2021.

Brent’s focus as an RMT, is therapeutic massage in rehab. Using myofascial, joint mobilizations, pain science and evidence informed theories. He is also bringing Osteopathic techniques into his knowledge base for treatments.

We are pleased to have Brent, join our team at Trail Integral Therapeutics.  Brent is in the clinic Tuesdays to Friday's
